🏍️ When the Throttle’s Out of Reach 🏍️

You ever want something so bad it’s like your soul keeps reaching for it, even when your body says, “Nope, not today”?

Yeah. That’s me right now.

I bought a dirt bike, a dual sport, at the end of August. Kind of a little birthday present to myself, you know?
Then September 1st hit. Injury.
Left arm’s out of commission.
Can’t pull the clutch. Can’t hold my stance.
Haven’t been on a bike since.

And I’ll be honest, it’s been rough.
I went out the other day and started the bikes, one by one. Checked the batteries, listened to the engines purr.
And it hit me right in the gut.
That mix of sadness, frustration, a little anger…and that dangerous “screw it, I could probably ride anyway” whisper that I had to talk myself out of.

So instead, I’ve been driving my car like it’s a motorcycle…which, by the way, is not recommended.
I catch myself leaning into corners like the car’s gonna follow my body weight. Spoiler: it doesn’t.

But that’s the thing about passion…you don’t just turn it off because your body’s on pause.
You feel it in your bones.
You hear it in the idle of an engine you can’t yet ride.
And you work that much harder to heal because you know what’s waiting for you when you can.

So yeah…wish me luck.
Because I’m coming back.
And when I do, that throttle’s not ready for me.
